Well we did make it to Tillamook. Woke up early in the
wee hours to the sound of water dripping.....a leak in a roof seam above
my bed. Thankfully I was down at the other end, and didn't end up wet.
Mikey climbed his way up the back of the dining table bench seat to get
into bed with me. He was nice and warm, but just a big lump at the end
of the bed. Took him for a long walk on another great beach, immediately
across the road from the Spring Lake RV site. Broad sand beach, few people.
Cold breeze blowing in, but soon warmed up as the sun hit the beach and
I returned over the softer dunes back to the roadway. Stopped at the Tillamook
factory. Love the squeaky cheese (curds). Also the fresh beef jerky.
Don't stop to think about the source of these two items. Had an odds and
ends kind of lunch in the parking lot in the RV, then moved on to pick up
mineral spirits to clean the leaky seam line on the RV roof.
There's something about the lighting.......

Stopped at the Tillamook Air Museum and had a
great time. Mom and Dad loved the old planes and reminiscing about the
war. Check out the various pics I took.

Don't remember what this is....

While still in the parking lot, Dad got up on the RV
roof and sealed the leak. Now have settled in to a National Forest
campground at Cape Perpetua. Starting to see some old growth forests with
huge Sitka Spruce trees. $23(RV) + $5(single car) for the night, would
have been half price for the RV if Dad could have found his Golden Access/Pass.....no
cable tv, no street lights, no train whistles, only a full moon.

On to see the Oregon Dunes in the morning.
