Day 11, Saturday, September 28th, 2002

Drove into the Napa Valley via a beautiful route. If you're on a bicycle. Many ups and downs and curves galore. Entered San Fran via the Golden Gate, which had tons of walkers, joggers and cylists going across. Unfortunately, also missed the turnoff for HW 1 and ended up going into town on Lombard. Fortunately figured it out BEFORE having to take the RV up or down any really nasty hills. We're staying at the Onterra RV park in Pacifica, right on the top of a beachside cliff. There's evidence that the lot next door previously had a building which has long since fallen into the ocean. There is a very steep path down to the beach, which of course, Mikey has fallen in love with. A few guys tried to fish the surf at sundown. Went to eat Chinese food at the Golden Wok in San Mateo with a family friend. Excellent!

Back to the RV for an early night. Plan is to go into San Fran downtown in the morning to go to Alcatraz and view Fisherman's Wharf.
